My vision of American Retail Supply in 1981 was to create one place where retailers like you could get everything you need to run your retail store. That vision included supplying those wholesale products at great prices and unmatched service. In "Traditions 101" each new team member spends half a day with me learning about our company and our customer service philosophy. We watch the video "In Search Of Excellence". In one scene the trainer at Walt Disney World asks the new Disney employees, "What business are we in? What do we do at Walt Disney World?" The answer is, "WE MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY".
After the video, we talk about what business ARS is in. Yes, we sell Fixtures, Wholesale Packaging, Marking Equipment, and Point-Of -Sale Computer Systems... and we have excellent prices, quality products, and efficient distribution. BUT the bottom line is - we are in the same business as Disney. "WE MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY". Sure, you probably won't whistle Zippity-do-da when you get your order... but if we don't make you happy, you won't come back... and you shouldn't!
If you are ever unhappy with us, each team member is trained to ask, "WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE YOU HAPPY?" Then they're trained to MAKE YOU HAPPY!
Delivery on time - every time as promised.
If we have your product in stock and we get your order within a few minutes of UPS pick up, it should ship that day. If we don't have the product in stock you should expect to get the product when you are told. This seems like it should be a simple task, but I personally know it doesn't happen for me when I buy things. When it comes to delivery, some businesses will tell you what you want to hear and deal with the consequences later. We don't do that. We'll give you your delivery date as best we can and meet that date. On the rare occasion that something comes up that causes a delay, we'll let you know immediately.
